Virginia Louise Pequignot, 73, of DeGraff, died at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, in Mary Rutan Hospital.
She was born in Shelby County on July 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Wilbur Earl and Bertha Abbott Ellis.
On Aug. 26, 1949, she married Thomas Eugene Pequignot in Sidney and he died Sept. 24, 1989. She also was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Davis of DeGraff; two sons, Steven (Peggy) Pequignot and Bruce (Pam) Pequignot, both of DeGraff; sister, Sondra Spangler of Versailles and Dorothy Henson of Sidney; four grandchildren, Kellie Wren, Jill (Doug) Watercutter and Amy Davis, all of DeGraff, and Neil (Krista) Davis of Bellefontaine; and three great-grandchildren.
A 1949 graduate of Anna High School, she was a member of the Quincy Senior Citizens and Springhills Presbyterian Church where she was a deaconess. She was a retired assembler for the Copeland Corporation in Sidney.
The Rev. Randy Terry conducts a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
