Opal Lucretia "Lou" Gibson, 73, of Bellefontaine, died at 5:04 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Born May 5, 1931, in Logan County, she was a daughter of Lewis Fout and Thelma Hone Madden.
On Nov. 30, 1975, she married Giles Melvin Gibson in Bellefontaine, and he survives.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her stepfather, Glen Madden; her father and her stepmother, Blanche Fout; one son, Paul Martin; one stepson, Paul Gibson; one great-grandchild, Devin Gibson; and one son-in-law, Earl Parker.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Liz Parker of Bellefontaine; one stepson, Curt (Mollie) Gibson of Bellefontaine; one brother, Jake Fout of Pasco; one siter, Jane (Dick) SMith of Zanesfield; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
A homemaker, she was an avid NASCAR and Cincinnati Bengals fan and attended many of the Bengals events.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where the funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Don Miller officiating. Burial is in the Mac-O-Chee Cemetery, West Liberty.
