Herbert Jay Griffith, 47, of Bellefontaine, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at the home of his in-laws in Bellefontaine.

Born July 4, 1957 in Urbana, he was a son of Herbert Carroll Griffith of Urbana and the late Doris Ann Hiestand Griffith.

On Jan. 17, 1997 he married Bobbie Jo Trout in Bellefontaine, and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Tyler Griffith of Bellefontaine; two daughters, Amy Griffith and Angela Griffith, both of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Rick Griffith of West Mansfield and Ron Griffith of Marysville; three grandchildren, Makalah, Micah and Davin Griffith; thre sisters-in-law, Tonya NcClain, Dee (Vera) Huffman and Kim Trout, all of Bellefontaine; and his father-and mother-in-law, Robert and Joyce Trout of Bellefontaine.

He was aplumber and veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hanging out with friends and family and listening to country music.

Calling hours are from noon until the 2 p.m. Wednesday funeral at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff.

Burial is in the Huntsville Cemetery with military honors by the Logan County Honor Guard

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to his family at the National City Bank and the funeral home.
