Vadie Alice Daugherty, 59, of DeGraff, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, in her residnece.
She was born in Red Jacket, W.Va., on Jan. 17, 1946, a daughter of the late Vernal and Vadie Blankenship Hess.
She married Billie Bruce Daugherty in Chicago and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Tammy Kirklewski of Springfield and Carla Phelps of Bradenton, Fla.; son, Jason (April) Daugherty of DeGraff; seven grandchildren, Lauren Kirklewski of Springfield, Megan Salyers of Urbana, Vincent Phelps of Lewistown, Matthew and Kenny, both of Bradenton, Fla., and Marcus Daugherty and Zoe Allison Daugherty, both of DeGraff; and her companion of 26 years, Francis Orahood of DeGraff.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Christ's Covenant Church in Bellefontaine.
Pastor Paul Ramsey conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial in in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
