Ellen Elizabeth Grimes, 82, of Bellefontaine, went to be with the Lord at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005.
She was born in Logan County on April 7, 1922, a daughter of the late Abner and Estella Bush Petty.
On March 13, 1942, she married Harold M. Grimes in Paris, Ky., and he passed away July 20, 1983. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Juanitta Boggs; and two brothers, Perry Petty and Bill Petty.
Survivors include a daughter, Suellen (George) Jones of Bellefontaine; a son, Harold Timothy (B.J.) Grimes of Two Egg, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine.
The Rev. Jeffrey Bartlett conducts a funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is in Kingscreek Cemetery.
