Jackie Dwaine "Jack" Wooldridge, 71, of Canton, N.C., and formerly of Lewistown, died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.

Born on March 21, 1934, Miamisburg, he was a son of the late Samuel E. and Bertha Elizabeth Binkley Wooldridge.

He married Fern Gregg in Lewisburg on May 27, 1953, and she survives, along with a son, Larry D. Wooldridge of Waynesville, N.C.; two daughters, Peggy (Steve) Pequignot of DeGraff and Patty (Jim) Hurley of New Smyrna, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Wooldridge and Terry L. Wooldridge, two brothers, Gleenwood E. Wooldrigde and Elmer J. Wooldridge and two sisters, Iolene Reedy and Marietta DeVilbliss.

He retired as a machine operator from Georgia Boot Company in Blairsville, Ga., in 1996, he also worked at Copeland Corp. in Sidney, Airstream and Holloway's in Jackson Center and operated the Ashland Station in DeGraff for several years. He was a graduate of Miamisburg High School.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery.
