Stanley Jacob Easton Click for Condolences      Printable Version

Former DeGraff Mayor, past president of DeGraff council and curretn Board of Public Affairs member Stanley Jacob Easton, 85, of DeGraff, died at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Mary Rutan Hosptial.

Born May 30, 1919, in DeGraff, he was a son of the late Carl M. and Gertrude H. Eiler Easton.

On May 10, 1941, he married Corinne Mollie Blue, who preceded him in death March 25, 2001.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Stanley Allen Easton, three brothers, Henry Easton, Edwin Easton and Carl Easton Jr.; and one sister, June Harbour.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Robert) Sanford of DeGraff; two brothers, Elmer (Ann) Easton and John Easton both of DeGraff; four sisters, Carolyn Thornton and Bonnie (Virgil) Orsborne, both of DeGraff, Mary (Harold) Kies of Sidney and Evelyn (Robert) Blackstone of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-granchildren.

Retired from Airstream in Jackson Center, he owned and operated Easton's Small Engine Repair, attended Gretna Brethren Church and was a member of Boggs Lodge 292 F&AM, the Scottish Rite and the National Campers & Travelers Camping Group.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funearl Home, DeGraff. The funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lynn Mercer officiating. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Our prayers are with your family. What we know about Stanley is that is was a well liked man. He always said hi any time he would see you in town.
