Sheri Kay Shafer, 37, of Bellefontaine died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at her residence along west State Route 47.

Born Feb. 26, 1968, in Bellefontaine, she was a daughter of Gary Duane and Sharyl Sue Buroker Shafer, who also died May 29, 2005.

She is survived by one daughter, Stacy Marie Moody of Bellefontaine.

Her son Scott Robert Moody also died May 29, 2005.

She worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The family owned Sha-Ker Farms, where she raised milking shorthorn dairy cattle. She also showed dairy cattle at the Logan County and Ohio State fairs.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where the funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor William Zeller officiating. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Memorial donations may be made to the Stacy Moody Trust Fund.

I did not know any of the family.I live in KY.I am originally from IndianLake.I was very shocked when I heard of what happened.My thoughts and prayers are with the family.They will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

I worked with Sheri at ODOT. She was always friendly and spoke every time I seen. I will miss her.

I knew Kay, I graduated with her from Indian Lake, she was a quite but a very lovely lady. I am sorry to hear that she left us like she did. I want to send my deepest condolences to the family's and to Stacey, she has lost her family and she is going to need alot of support. Our thoughts and Prayers are with all the family's and to Stacey. Kay you will be Missed but Never forgotten.

I knew Kay, but not REALLY well. I knew her just from being Sara's ex-stepmom, and Stacy and Scotts mom. But I feel for Stacy. B.c when she comes completly around I can only imagine what shes gonna feel. I cant even imagine loosin' my mom. Not now, and not like that. But Kay will surley be missed...
