Ruth Ann Rose, 84, of Quincy died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at the Dorothy Love Retirement Center, Sidney.

Born July 14, 1921, in Sidney, she was a daughter of the late Virgil M. and Christine Sophia Meyer Stephenson.

She married William Howard Rose on March 30, 1940, and he preceded her in death Nov. 4, 2000. Also deceased is one brother, William V. Stephenson.

Survivors include two daughters, Terena (Richard) Stotler of Sidney and Sandy (Bill) Wolfe of Quincy; one sister, Betty Brenner of DeGraff; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A gradaute of Quincy High School, she worked for the former H.K. Porter Company in Bellefontaine, and Copeland Corporation and Stolle Corporation in Sidney. She was a homemaker and member of the DeGraff Diggers Garden Club.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where the funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Barb Staley officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Dorothy Love Retirement Community and the Ohio Parkinson Foundation Southwest Region, 325 N. Third St., Fairborn, 45324-4959.
