Charlotte Waneta Jones, 73, of Bellefontaine, and formerly of DeGraff and Dunkirk, died at 4:15 p.m. Sudnay, Oct. 2, 2005, in her home.
She was born in Plattsville on March 4, 1932, a daughter of Katherine L. Peters Hinkle, who survives in Tiffin, and of the late LeRoy E. Hinkle.
On Aug. 29, 1948, she married Charles Otho Jones I in Covington and he died Dec. 14, 2004.
Survivors include sosn, Charles Otho (Cora) Jones II of Greenville and Clyde (Renia) Jones of Bellefontaine; daughtes, Candi (Tom) Dear, Cathy (Tony) Kieffer and Cyndi (Tony) Brown, all of Bellefotnaine, and Charlotte Vanessa (C.W.) Cruze of Greenville; 30 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; five great-stegrandchildren; brothes, Melvin (Nancy) Hinkle of Kenton, Corliss (Sheila) Hinkle of Tennessee, Virgil (Becky) Hinkle of Florida and Meril (Chris) Hinkle of Kansas; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann (Charles) Bottomfield of Oklahoma.
A homemaker she once worked as a disc jockey in Dayton.
She and her husband were house parents for Agape Group Home in Dunkirk for 19 years and took in homeless children.
Pastor David Schneer conducts a funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
