Dona Maxine Weatherby, 87, of Bellefontaine, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at her home.
The Zane Township, Logan County, native was born April 28, 1918, a daughter of the late Dott G. and Leona N. Sharp Carpenter.
On June 15, 1945, she married Max Weatherby in Lake Worth, Fla., and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Don. W. Weatherby of DeGraff; a sister, Joy (James) Cretcher of Columbia, Mo.; two nieces, Sue Staley of Saline, Mich., and JoAnn Adams of Rangely, Colo.; and one nephew, Don Carpenter of Gambier.
She was preceded her in death by one brother, Don Travers Carpenter; and one sister-in-law, Viola Hazelgrove.
A 1936 gradaute of DeGraff High School, she also gradauted from the Springfild Business School. She was a homemaker and active member of the Springhills Presbyterian Church for many years. Additionally, she was a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau and the Logan County Friendly Senior Citizens. She performed office duties for businesses in Bellefontaine, Dayton and Pennsylvania.
Graveside services begin at 11 a.m. Monday with burial in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Logan County Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society.
