Melba Alice Cowan Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1922 - 2005 Melba Alice Cowan, 82, of Bellefontaine, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Logan Acres. She was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Sidney, the daughter of the late Elmer and Celia Stewart Cowan. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1941 and previously worked at the Degraff Cannery. She was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine and she loved to sing and attend the Wednesday night prayer meetings. A resident of Logan Acres for 34 years, she enjoyed participating in all the activities at the facility and when she was able, she liked doing things for people. Graveside services ar at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy, with the Rev. Ron Irick officiating.
