Ruth M. Mees, 84, of Bellefontaine, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Born Nov. 6, 1921, in DeGraff, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Chestnut Allison.
Survivors include two sons, James (Beverly) Mees of Bellefontaine and Oliver "Bud" (Terri) Mees Jr. of DeGraff; one daughter, Charlotte (Andy) Hites of Bellefontaine; one sister; Mary Allen of Quincy; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She married Oliver Clark "Bud" Mees on March 13, 1939, in Winchester, Ind. and he preceded her in death November 14, 1998. Also preceding her in death were one son, Richard Mees; three brothers, Charles Allison, Earl Allison and Cecil Allison; and two sisters, Pearl Fleming and Edna Roberts.
She was a homemaker.
Calling hours at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Tabor Church of God, DeGraff, where she was a member. Pastor Kerry Snapp officiates. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
