Virgil Ray Orsborne, 67, of DeGraff, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, in Mercey McAuley Center, Urbana.

He was born in Pike County on March 10, 1938, a son of the late Morton C. and Bessie Horsley Orsborne. Two brothers, Roy and James Orsborne, also preceded him in death.

On Jan. 10, 1958, he married the former Bonnie Easton in DeGraff and she survives. along wiht daughters, Carolyn McClintick and LaVonne (Jim) Notestine, both of DeGraff, and Lorna (Jeff) Rogy of Cropwell, Ala.; a son, Tony (Deb) Orsborne of Pemberton; brothers, Earl Orsborne of Glouster and Merle (Stephanie) Orsborne of DeGraff; sisters Thelma Denlinger of Taylor, Mich., jTeresa Decker of Lancaster, Lola (C.A.) Jones of Truman, Ark., Kathleen (Tom) Congrove of Glouster and Ruth (Ray) Walters of DeGraff; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A self-employed carpenter, he was a member of the Gretna Brethren Church.

The Rev. Lynn Mercer conducts a fuenral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in is Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and Gretna Brethren Church.
