Thurman Frederick Coyer Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1923 - 2006

Thurman F. Coyer, 82, of Quincy, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, in Mary Rutan Hospital.

He was born in Logan County on Aprill 22, 1923, a son of the late Jess G. and Jessie I. Nevers Coyer.

On May 25, 1947, he married the former Marjorie L. Fergus in Sidney and she preceded him in death Sept. 27, 1996. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Coyer; two sisters, Ruth Smith and Gladys Brown; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons, William A. Coyer of Quincy and Richard Coyer of Monroe, Mich.; one daughter Cynthia Fout of Lakeview; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

A 1941 graduate of DeGraff High School, he retired from Airstream in Jackson Center.

The U.S. Navy veteran of WWII was a member of the former VFW Post 3528 in Quincy and Boggs Lodge 292 Free & Accepted Masons, DeGraff.

He also was a member of the Quincy United Methodist Church and served on the Quincy Village Council for several years.

Pastor N. Matthew Wright conducts a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff. No Calling hours are planned. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church.

Hello... I'm not a memeber of your family, but I am a Coyer. I'm from Michigan. My mother passed away last year on Jan 18, 2005. I am sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.
