1980 - 2006
Robbie Joe Goings, 25, of DeGraff, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2006, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on U.S. Route 68 at County Road 5, West Liberty.
Born Oct. 19, 1980, in Sidney, he was a son of Gary Lee and Linda Jo Brecount Goings, who survive in DeGraff. Also surviving are two brothers, Gary Goings Jr. of Urbana and Greg Douglas of Bowling Green, Ky.; paternal grandmother, Alma Goings of DeGraff; fiancee, Lindsey B. Heath of West Liberty; two nieces, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Goings; and maternal grandparents, Lester and Laura Brecount. He was a self-employed contractor.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rexer-Riggin- Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where the funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Leroy Hughes officiates. His body will be cremated following the service.

Baby you were my frist love and my bestfriend,I love you with all my heart and soul.When I was sad you knew how to make me smile, all I would have to see is you smile and it lit up the room, you were so cute it was hard for me not to giggle.I Love You so much and I always will. You use to tell me that no matter what happens you would always be there for me,through thick and thin (you use to say).We never use to let each other get out of our sight for to long,as soon as we got off work we were with each other but that what true love does to you.When you worked at Rick's I would stay there with you, the day I will never forget is the day you got me up on the roof since I told you I could do your job and I actually roofed and you said that you were so proud of me and that you knew if I put my mind to it I could do or be anything I wanted. lindsey, im sorry about you'r loss and i know that we dont't get along very well but i wish we could though. i mean i knew Robbie and that but i just wanted to tell u that im sorry for your loss and that so please take this to concideration i just want to say im sorry. And if possable we co uld get a long now. but if u need anything, someone to talk to, please let me know okay.

man... where to start. me and Rob were realy close all thru school. we didn't get to hang out as much afterwords, but that doesn't make this any easier at all. i have so many memories thru my youth of me and him. i just can't believe it. i miss him already. if there is anything i can do to help, please, let me know. i loved him like a brother.

I HAVE KNOWN ROB SINCE WE WERE LITTLE KIDS AND I ALWAYS ENJOYED TALKING TO HIM WHENEVER WE SAW EACH OTHER, HE WAS A VERY KIND,FUNNY AND PLEASANT PERSON. I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO GARY AND LINDA ALONG WITH THE REST OF THE FAMILY.
