James Edward Clary, 80, of DeGraff, died at 11:08 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Born Wednesday July 21, 1926, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Samuel E. and Helen G. Bevington Clary. On Oct. 8, 1949, he married Elnor Faye Barthauer in Lakeview and she died Feb. 9, 1998.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Lori) Clary of Belle Center; four daughters, Rhonda (Phil) Rhodes of DeGraff, Theresa (Skip) Ceylor of DeGraff, Cheryl (Robert) Moore of Gary, Ky., and Jana (Kevin) Knief of Lewistown; a sister, Joan (Fran) Currie of Taylor, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, Chad (Shelly) Perk of DeGraff, Jeremy (Mallary) Rhodes of Warren, Ind., Kobi (Mike) Cornett of Kettering, Cari (Randy) Hamblin of Georgetown, Ky., Dallas J. (Stephanie) Clary of Quincy, Brandon and Dustin Clary, both of Bellefontaine, Cody Dickinson of Belle Center, and Christina and Allison Knief, both of Lewistown; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John R. Clary and Raymond "Buck" Clary, and a sister Peggy Clary.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a retired truck driver for Shenandoah Motor Express of Versailles.

He is being cremated and private graveside services are at the convenience of the family in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, with Pastor Bill Halter officiating.

Teresa, I am sorry about your father. I missed the obituary in the paper and Mel told me. My parents have both been gone for more than 10 years and it seems, especially around the holidays, that that is when I miss them the most. Again, I am so sorry. Doris
