
Janet Irene Butterfield, 49, of Belle Center, died at 2:56 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima.
Born July 24, 1957, in Columbus, she was a daughter of Barbara Goodrich, who survives in Belle Center. Her father is deceased. On Aug. 11, 1973, she married Clovis Damon "Bud" Butterfield in Russells Point, and he survives.
Also surviving are one son, Joshua "Bud" Butterfield of Belle Center; three daughters, Elizabeth R. Butterfield of Belle Center, Brandie Marie (Robert) Irwin of Jackson Center and Michelle L. (Malcolm Gonzalez) Butterfield of Columbus; two brothers, George Goodrich of Bellefontaine and Eric (Lori) Wong of Elkhart, Ind.; two sisters, Alice (David) Fachman of New Albany and Marty (Gene) Hughes of New Port Richey, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Robbie Irwin, Ashton Irwin, Joey Irwin and Michael Gonzalez.
A homemaker and member of New Beginnings Community Church in DeGraff, she loved her Lord, children and family. She also was a member of the Sidney Area Emmaus Community. Prior to her illness, she was assistant manager at Belle Meadows Apartments in Bellefontaine.
The family receives friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the New Beginnings Community Church, DeGraff, through arrangements by Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff.
The Rev. C. Eddie Freshour conducts the funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial is in the Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville.
