Myron Leroy Coverstone, 78, of DeGraff, died at 3:12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at the Dorothy Love Retirement Center, Sidney.
The Sidney native was born July 31, 1928, a son of the late Oscar Allen and Erma Leona Belle Coverstone. On July 10, 1949, he married Betsy Lou Brewer in Pasco, and she died Aug. 23, 1994. Also preceding him in death were one son, Robert Coverstone and two sisters, Janet Lundy and Fern Coverstone.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie (James) Wolfe of Sterling, Va.; three sisters, Lena (Henry) Brown of Rosewood, Alma (Richard) Klien of St. Marys and Lois (Marlen) Harrod of Sidney; three grandchildren, Erica Sullivan of Leesburg, Va., Wendy Harrington of Virginia Beach, Va., and Carrie Heustis of Winchester, Va.; and nine great-grandchildren.
A longtime Rosewood area farmer, he retired from the X-Cell Feed Mill in Rosewood.
The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff. The funeral begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Rosewood United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Beverly Avers officiates and burial is in the Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
