
Helen Louise Everhart, 76, of Lewistown, left this life at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, surrounded by children, grandchildren, Pastor Kerry Snapp and friends to meet once again with her loved ones who had already passed on before her.
She was born in Greenfield on May 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles and Rachel Knisley Robinette. On April 22, 1952, she married Paul Franklin Everhart Sr. in Springfield and he passed away Dec. 15, 1999, after 47 years of marriage.
She spent many years with her husband in a labor of love for the gospel of Christ. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Lindsey; four sisters, six brothers, grandson, Daniel Conley; granddaughter, Audra Karns; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include children, Gary Everhart and Daniel Everhart, both of Russells Point, George Everhart and Norma (Baird) Davis, both of Muncie, Ind., Elmer (Barb) Everhart of Bainbridge, Galen (Misty) Everhart of South Vienna, Paul (Jane) Everhart of Corbin, Ky., Sam (Patti) Everhart of Lakeview, Sue (Paul) Clerico of Bellefontaine, Mary (Rusty) Maynard of Hamilton and Ellen (Skip) Conley of DeGraff; brothers, Everett Robinette and Donald Robinette, both of Greenfield; a sister, Mary Jane Beatty of Greenfield; 41 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, she loved to cook, bake and can food. Many who came to know her affectionately called her "Mom" and "Grandma." She spent the last 18 months at Heartland of Indian Lake where she built friendships with other patients and staff.
A member of the Church of God, she attended Mt. Tabor Church of God.
Pastor Kerry Snapp and Evangelist Paul O'Neil conduct a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Tabor Church of God, where calling is from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday.
Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff.
