Harold Leroy Brown, 61, of Quincy, died at 3:09 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Mary Rutan Hospital.

Born on Jan. 19, 1945, in Quincy, he was a son of the late Charles William and Freda Marie Cook Brown.

A 1963 graduate of Riverside High School, he was a test car driver for the Transportation Research Center.

He married Frances Marie Valentine on June 20, 1970, in Pasco, and she survives, along with a son, Patrick W. Brown of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Paul Brown of Quincy and William (Cindy) Brown of Sidney; and two sisters, Barbara Wirick of Plant City, Fla., and Nancy (Joe) Larger of Maplewood. A daughter, Amanda Kay Brown, preceded him in death.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Quincy United Methodist Church, where calling begins an hour prior. Pastor N. Matthew Wright officiates. His ashes will be interred in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy, following the service.

Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff handled arrangements.
