Phyllis A. Shafer, 68, of DeGraff, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at her home.
Born Oct. 26, 1938, in Rosewood, she was a daughter of Lloyd E. and Ruth Alice Wiant Jackson. On March 3, 1973, she married Robert A. Shafer in Quincy and he survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Dawn Dunn of Bellefontaine and Missy McNutt and Stephanie (Merle) Orsborne, both of DeGraff; three sons, Gregory L. (Julie) Wick of DeGraff, Jeff (Bev) Wick of Lakeview and Scott (Marilyn) Wick of Dayton; two brothers, Dewayne (Louise) Jackson of Brookville, Fla., and Frank (Darlene) Jackson of Concord; one sister, Arlene (John) Voke of Urbana; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Jackson and Doyle Jackson; and one sister, Ella Coy.
A homemaker, she worked at the Village Pantry in DeGraff for more than 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, cooking and crocheting.
She attended the Quincy United Methodist Church, where the funeral begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, following visitation that begins at 11 a.m. Pastor N. Matthew Wright officiates.
Memorial donations may be made to the Riverside Emergency Medical Squad, DeGraff. Arrangements are being handled by the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff.
