Virginia Frances Hamilton

Virginia Frances Hamilton, 71, of DeGraff, died at 7:07 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Mary Rutan Hospital.

She was born in Gallipolis on March 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Fred and Audre Beaver. She first married Jack Simon Sr. in 1954 and he died in 1992. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jack Simon Jr. and a brother, Thomas Beaver.

On Aug. 4, 1996, she married Ralph Douglas Hamilton in Lakeview and he survives, along with sons, Patrick Simon of DeGraff, Harold Hamilton of Lancaster and Edward (Patricia) Simon of Olympia, Wash.; daughters, Tammy (Gary) Harrod of Waynesfield, Terra (Jon) Stiers of Richmond, Ky., and Christina (John) Jackson of Junction City; a brother, Ervin (Patricia) Beaver of Obetz; sisters, Bonnie Walker of Columbus, Dorothy (Richard) Dean of Pickerington and Karen K. (Bobby) Clark of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Carla Sue Simon of Chattanooga, Tenn.

She worked as an assembler at Airstream in Jackson Center for several years and was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533 in Lakeview.

The Rev. Dwight Metzger conducted a funeral today at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, and burial was in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Mom I can't believe that your gone.I love you and will miss you so much. You were a wonderful mom any one could ever have. We were so lucky to have you in our lives. You were taken to soon but god had planes for you and your son's and husband.I love you and miss you so much.Your daughter Susie Simon.

Mrs.Virginia, It is very heard to see a Mother and Son pass away with in 9 mos. to the date . We had talk to you a few time, "Patrick" was a wonderful Brother-in-law, more like a "Brother" we loved him deeply and will miss him. Love, Peggy & Bobby
