Frances Louise Sutton, 85, formerly of Quincy, died at 1:25 PM Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 in Hudson, Ohio where she had resided for the past 10 months.
Born June 3, 1922 in Shelby County, she was a daughter of the late Elza V. and Nellie M. Allebach Bell. On March 1, 1944 she married her husband, Ralph G. Sutton and he died December 18, 2005 after 61 years of marraige.
For 32 years she owned and operated Frances Beauty Shop in Sidney and in her home near Quincy. She was a member of Quincy United Methodist Church, O&E Sunday School Class, the Ladies Aid, and a former member of United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the former Miami Valley Homemakers.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Keith, a brother, Maurice, sister, Irene, and granddaughter Meghan Anne Verner.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen (George) Verner of Hudson. She is also survived by four grandchildren, a step grandson, one great grandson, one brother, Carl (Isabelle) Bell of Sidney, and a daughter-in-law, Diane Sutton of Florida.
Visitation will be at Pemberton United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 21, 2008, beginning at 10:00AM followed by funeral services at 11:30 AM conducted by the Rev. Barry Baughman. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
