To Wes' family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Even though it's been a year, I'm sure the pain is still felt. A year ago when I first heard about the tragedy I was deeply saddened. Although I'm a couple of years older than Wes, I got to know him pretty well when I used to take him to and from football practice. He always had a way of making me smile. He will truly be missed.

Dave and Pam, I know that this is coming a year late, but I just heard about Wesley. I am truly sorry about what happened. I was told about it tonight and I am completely shocked and hurt. Wesley was a great kid, with a great personality. He will be sadly missed by all of us. I just wish that I could have been there for you at your time of need. Please know that I would have, had I known. If you would like to talk, I've displayed my email address. Love Yvonne

Dave and family -- I have so many memories of when Rick & I would bring Emily & Laura and visit at your house in Quincy. Even when Wes was really young, he had that special smile and twinkle in his eyes. James and Wesley were never ever embarrassed to come up and hug us at family gatherings, even when it wasn't the "cool thing" to do. Dave, you have raised Wesley and James so well, and I wish I had had the chance to tell you that before, but we'll certainly have that chance at the great Family Reunion in Heaven. As you said at Wes's service -- no more needles for his diabetes -- just think, he has a perfect body now!
I was so privileged to have been a part of Wes's early years!

I am so very sorry and saddened to hear about Wes. I was Wes's "cheerleader" his senior football season at PHS and we were also track captains together. Wes always had a smile on his face and could make me laugh, even through the hardest track practices! May God be with your family through this difficult time... and may your good memories pull you through. I will be thinking about your family.

Dearest Denny & All,
I know personally the heartache that death of a loved one brings. It is an extremely trying time of your lives. But what we finally figured out is this: Mourn. Mourn as hard as you can, then celebrate his life. I guarantee you will then be free from the sad anguish.
Remember and dwell only on the good times! Wes has been to our home many times. We loved Wes.
He was always the one to make somebody laugh or smile when they had a bad day. He could always produce a funny pair of sunglasses or some crazy hat to crack everybody up and lighten any dark mood. He always addressed us as Mr. and Mrs. Bray even though that wasn't necessary. Wes was always the peacemaker amongst the kids. What gifts Wes had!!!! Everyone who knew him loved him and they always will. When you think of him, smile!!!! I guarantee he sees it! Peace, comfort & love to all. Neils, Lisa, Kendra & Jordan Bray

Wes was a student in my 7th grade math class at Wilder Junior High in Piqua, Ohio. He moved in after the school year had started and immediately became part of the class. Wes was a good student and I enjoyed getting to know him. I can remember one time he gave me a Reese's Cup candy bar because he knew they were my favorite. Once he went on to high school, I lost contact with him, but I still remember Wes being the one to score the first touchdown in the new satdium. That will always makes me smile. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My sincere condolences to your family on the loss of your dear son. I knew Wes at PHS as I'm the school secretary and my daughter Laura Pearson was a classmate of his. She was fond of Wes and considered him a good track friend, plus she cheered for him during the football season. We lost our son Sam in October in Iraq, it is a devastating thing to go through. May God's peace come to you, if there is anything we can do for you as a family, or anything I can do for you at PHS, please let me know. Carolyn Pearson
