Ora Lucile Birt, 92, of Sidney, and formerly of Quincy, died at 3:32 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2008, at The Pavilion, Sidney.

She was born in Shelby County on Jan. 9, 1916, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Carrie Stewart Richwine. On March 21, 1935, she married Bailey Trapp in Port Jefferson and he preceded her in death.

On Sept. 5, 1969, she married Donald Birt in Belaire, Md., and he died May 17, 1999. She also was preceded in death by a son, William Trapp; a brother, Francis Richwine; and a sister, Ethel Mae (Robert) March.

Survivors include a son, Elmer (Ruth) Trapp of Sidney; sisters, Patricia Frazier of Sidney and Ruby (Wayne) Kinninger of Cypress, Texas; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A retired laborer for the Stolle Corp., she was a charter member and past matron of Stokes Chapter 543 Order of Eastern Star, Port Jefferson, and was a member of the Port Jefferson United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Charles Jarrett conducts a funeral at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is two hours prior. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charities of the donors choices.

so sorry for your loss. its never easy to give up those who are called away, but god is always in charge and he sees the road ahead of us and trusting him is the only way to go on our path. may god comfort you and keep you and your families.
