Roxie Louise Miller, 93, of Bellefontaine, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine.
She was born in Alger on Jan. 12, 1915, a daughter of the late Sherman and Oma Brown Sanders.
On Dec. 19, 1935, she married John F. Miller in Portland, Ind., and he preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1983. Three brothers, two sisters and three grandsons also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Frank S. Miller and Edward L. (Rosilynn) Miller, both of Bellefontaine, and John R. (Nancy) Miller and Carl E. Gene (Pam) Miller, both of Lewistown; a brother, Homer (Joan) Sanders of Springfield; nine grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bellefontaine and most recently attended Stony Creek Church of the Brethren. An avid gardener, she was a member of the Friendship Garden Club and enjoyed raising roses, which she showed at the Logan County Fair.
The Rev. Walt Mansfield conducts a funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is one hour prior to the service. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
