Gregg Eugene Pitts, Jr Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1981 - 2008 Gregg Eugene Pitts Jr., 26, of Quincy, died at about 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine on Dec. 10, 1981, a son of Gregg Eugene Pitts Sr. of Jackson Center and Sharmon Lorraine Thompson Pitts of Quincy. Also surviving are a sister, Chasity (Kristopher) Nicholl of Jackson Center; maternal grandma and stepgrandfather, Shirley and James Grimes of Bellefontaine; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Phyllis Pitts. A member of the Quincy United Methodist Church, he attended Riverside Local Schools and enjoyed computer and video games. He suffered from spina bifida all his life. Pastor Rob Kilgore leads a funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.

Gregg, I was looking on line at the Bellefontaine paper and read about your son's death. I wanted to send you my condlences and say how very sorry for your loss that I am. I know there is really nothing good to say during these hard times but I just wanted you to know that people that you grew up with are thinking of you and including you and your family in our hearts and prayers during your time of sorrow.

Hey Shamon, although i am no longer considered family i want you to know that you an Chas are in my thoughts and prayers. i was out of state when Greggie passed or i would have came to show my regretts. Alisa told me when i got back. if you feel a need to E me and talk i do know what it is like to lose a child. so don't hesitate to E me at anytime. darla

Gregg was such a nice guy. We knew each other in grade school. Gregg never a bad thing to say about anyone, and always had a smile to greet you with. My thoughts and prayers are with your family through this time.
