Johnnie Hazel Shirey, 61, of Quincy, died at 11:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at her home.
She was born in Knobel, Ark., on Aug. 10, 1947, a daughter of the late Edgar Monroe and Alice Ray Henson.
Survivors include a son, James (Keley) Jones of Quincy; a daughter, Susan (Jerry) Snipes of Lewistown; three brothers, Francis Boshears and Henry Boshears, both of Corning, Ark., and James Henson of Albion, Ill; two sisters, Minnie (Donnie) Strauser of Raymond, Ill., and Evelyn (Tiny) Ridner of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a special loved one, Bill Lauderback; and several nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, she had worked as a waitress. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
A graveside service is conducted at 11 a.m. today in Springhills Cemetery, DeGraff. Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home handled arrangements.
