Mary Frances Ware, 87, of Quincy, died at 12:39 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles.
She was born Thursday, January 6, 1921, in Quincy, a daughter of the late A. Lee and Alta E. Kress Barthauer.
On April 17, 1938, she married Hugh E. Ware in Bellefontaine and he died October 4, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a Son, Ronald Ware; a Brother, Roger Barthauer and two Sisters, Mabel A. Thornton and Helen Miller.
She is survived by a Son & Daughter in Law, Richard L. & Doris Ware of Versailles; Son, Kenneth D. Ware of Quincy; Daughter, Patricia A. Wise of Xenia; Brother & Sister in Law, Bob and Ruby Barthauer of De Graff; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was a 1938 graduate of Quincy High School and a member of Quincy United Methodist Church. She owned and operated Mary's Bridal Shop in Bellefontaine and Quincy for many years. She was a member of a sewing club in Quincy and she and her husband enjoyed camping and RVing. They were members of The Good Sam Camping Club.
The family will receive friends at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2008 Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Pastor N. Matthew Wright officiating. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, OH.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Quincy United Methodist Church.
