Alvena M.M. Howell, 88, of DeGraff, died at 6:20 PM Monday, December 1, 2008, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home,Sidney.
She was born February 8, 1920, in Shelby County, a daughter of the late William and Myrta Matilda Weaver Helmlinger.
She was married to Conray Clayton Howell and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two Grandsons; a Brother, Earl Helmlinger and
two Sisters, Gleneva Smith and Eunice Herndon.
Surviveres include a Son, Larry Howell of rural Bellefontaine; a daughter, Roxie Line of De Graff, seven Grand Children, four Great Grand Children and two Great Great Grand Children.
She was a former employee of the Lima Tank Depot during WW II and Copeland Corporation in Sidney.

Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Pastor David Buchenroth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday Dec.5 , 2008 from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, OH.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Reseach Hospital.
