Marilu Deane Ashbaugh Wiford, 70, of Bellefontaine, died at 7:25 AM Saturday, December 20, 2008, at O.S.U. Medical Center, in Columbus.

She was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1938, in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph Hill and Henrietta Jane Lamont Ashbaugh.

On May 2, 1959, she married Jerold Emerson Wiford in Newport, KY and he died February 8, 2006.

Survivors include two daughters; Kristy L. King of Blacklick, OH and Debbie (Scott) Atterholt of De Graff, two sons; Jerold E. "Skip" (Beth) Wiford II of Bellefontaine and J. Scott (Carmel) Wiford of Collinsville, AL, a brother; Joseph Hill (Gloria) Ashbaugh of Erlanger, KY, a sister; Joette (Clarence) Garman of Southgate, KY, five grand children; Angela (Curt) Atterholt Leatherman of Bellefontaine, Alicia Eaton of West Liberty, Abigail Atterholt of De Graff, Jared Wiford and Carson Wiford both of Collinsville, AL and a great grandson; Preston Leatherman of Bellefontaine.

A Homemaker, she was a graduate of Highland High School in Newport, KY, a member of De Graff Freewill Baptist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her grand children and her great grandson.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the De Graff Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. James Roby officiating.

The family will receive friends at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Burial is in the Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the De Graff Freewill Baptist Church.
