Esther Pauline Overholser Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2009 Esther Pauline (Polly) Overholser, 91, of Bellefontaine, died at 9:15 AM Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. She was born on Friday, April 6, 1917, in Champaign Co. and she was raised from the age of 13 by Leota Bailey near North Lewisburg. On July 5, 1936, she married Doral Commadore Overholser in Springfeild and he died July 10, 1993. Survivors include: a son; Paul L. (Eva) Overholser of Bellefontaine and a daughter; Phyllis (Harry) Miller of Anna, six grand children; David (Tammy) Overholser, Kim Merriman, Keith (Peggy) Overholser, Mark (Brenda) Cavinder, Mike (Sandy) Cavinder, and Darrin (Dianne) Cavinder, eleven great grand children and two great great grandchildren. A homemaker, she was an active life long member of The Church of Christ in Christian Union, Bellefontaine. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at The Church of Christ in Christian Union, Bellefontaine, with Revs. David Glauner & Gene Thompson officiating. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy, OH. The family will receive friends at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Phyllis, I was so sorry to hear about your Mother. I remember all the wonderful times we had when we were kids staying over at your house. Your Mom always made homemade potato chips. I know you will miss her, but you will have great memories.

Don't know if you remember me but I was Esther's aide when she was in the hospital. She was a delight to take care of and a very funny,good spirited lady. I just wanted to offer my sympathy for your loss. God bless you and yours.
