Doris Jean Dye, 82, of Quincy, died at 10:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2009, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.

She was born Sunday, December 19, 1926, in Piqua, OH, a daughter of the late Albert A. and Frances Belle Shroyer Vonderhuevel. She was also preceded in death by her only Granddaughter; Brenda Jean Dye and a Brother; Charles Vonderhuevel.

On August 26, 1946, she married Robert L. Dye, Sr. and he survives. Other survivors include a Son; Robert L. (Mary) Dye, Jr. of Sidney, two brothers; Marion (Betty) Vonderhuevel and Neil F. Vonderhuevel both of De Graff, three Sisters; Tina Strasser of Anna, Phyllis (Bill) Schindel, and Carol Vorhees both of Piqua, and several Nieces and Nephews.

She was a Homemaker and a 1944 Graduate of Quincy High School. She also helped her son at Dye Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Quincy. She loved flowers, especially violets and she at one time played piano at Bee Hive Church.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Rev. Scott Anderson officiating. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery, Quincy, OH. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Charity of the Donor's choice.

Dear Bob, I'm so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I looked forward to tax time every year just to chat with her. What a warm, wonderful women. My prayers are with you and your family. She will be missed.

Uncle Bob, Bob and Mary, Just wanted you all to know that I'm very sorry to hear that Aunt Jean has gone to heaven. Because I know that she is with Brenda Jean now. I want you to know that I was always very pround to be named after Aunt Jean. I always tried to stop in a see her when I would be in OHio. I always looked forward to her letters at Christmas.
