John K. Purk, 51, of Bellefontaine, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 23, 1957, a son of John H. Purk, who survives in Sidney, and Marjorie McFarlin Allen, address unknown.
A 1976 graduate of Riverside High School, he worked at HBD Industries for 30 years and enjoyed gaming on his computer.
Survivors include sisters, Welda K. (Riley) Malone and Cheryl Falke, both of Sidney; two nieces, Dreama Pitts and Melissa Malone; four nephews, Matthew Pitts, Joshua Malone, Adam Newman and Justin Newman; one great-niece; and four greatnephews.
A funeral begins at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Rexer-Riggin- Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where calling begins at 1 p.m. Interment is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Logan County Cancer Society.
