I met Don exactly a year ago at the Landing in Russells Point. He offered to buy me a beer as I was waiting for a chicken dinner, and I enjoyed his recollection of his years around Russells Point, especially during the riots. I repeated over this past year to anybody who would listen that I'd duly received warning from the Mayor in August to pay heed before the downturn in Oct. that our banks were going down. Unfortunately, I don't think any of us foresaw it, except maybe Don. A lot of memories from one meeting! I'm sure you will miss this entertaining man. My condolences.
