Lusina L. 'Betty' Hill Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1922 - 2010 Lusina L. "Betty" Hill, 87, of Bellefontaine, died at 3:17 PM Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Green Hills Center, West Liberty. She was born in Logan County on July 24, 1922, a daughter of the late Matthew P. Pickering and Rosella Zimmerman Pickering Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sonja Grant; four brothers, Lloyd, Bill, Raymond and Marvin Pickering; a sister, Mattie Beck; and one grandchild. Survivors include three daughters, Betsy Grant and Janice (Samuel) Ragland both of Bellefontaine, Sandy (Willard) Day of Lake Mary, Florida; two sons, Michael (Vicky) Grant of DeGraff and Patrick (Lita) Grant of Longmont, Colorado; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A homemaker, she liked to read and do needle point and she enjoyed her grandchildren. Chaplain Cheryl Siegenthaler conducts a service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, where visitation will be on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mom (Mattie) and Betty worked together at Holiday Inn for years. Our family will keep you guys in our prayers.

Sandy, Nancy just called to tell us that your mother passed away. I know it probably came at no surprise but you're still never ready for it. We wanted to tell you that we'll be thinking of you Thursday morning. It's tough losing your mother, isn't it? May God be with you to comfort you and your family through all of this.
