Phyllis Joann Easton, 78, of De Graff, died at 7:35 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
She was born in Kingscreek on July 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Ray and Sarah Vaughn Stuart Kauffman. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lea Easton; three brothers, Hubert, Kenneth and Donald Kauffman; and three sisters, Doris Guthrie, Elaine Corwin and Donna Kauffman.
She is survived by a son, Christopher Easton of DeGraff; two daughters, Jane Herring of Bellefontaine and Sharon (Casey Barney) Hubble of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, Tiffany Herring, Joanie Herring, Zachery (Kelsey Harshbarger) Hubble, Megan Hubble, Kelsey Barney and Krista Barney; and six great-grandchildren.
A homemaker, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.
The Rev. James Roby conducts a service at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where calling will be on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
