
Thomas Edward Richards, 84, of Lima, died at 7:02 AM Thursday, March 14, 2013, in the emergency room at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born July 24, 1928, in Columbus, a son of the late Thomas Edward and Laura Six Richards, Sr.
On November 7, 1951, he married Donna Christine Ellis in Columbus and she died January 23, 2011. He was also preceded in death by a Step Grand Daughter; Deanna Guisinger, four Brothers; Carl, Charles, Robert and Frank Richards and five Sisters; Catherine Panstingel, Geraldine Newland, Betty Bowman, June Miller and Patricia Schrader.
Survivors include a Step Daughter; Peggy (Larry) Guisinger of Lima, a Step Son; William Hempker of Russells Point and several Step Grand Children, Step Great Grand Children and Step Great Great Children.
A Security Supervisor for the Ford Motor Company, He was a member of Indian Lake Community Church, Boggs Lodge #292 F.&A.M., De Graff , AASR Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine, Dayton, Antioch Funsters, Huntsville, Indian Lake Moose, Lima V.F.W., Lima Eagles and Miami Valley Post #652, American Legion, De Graff. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
The family will receive friends at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. followed by a Masonic service at 8 P.M. Funeral Services will then be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18, 2013 Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Pastor Jim Ellington officiating. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff with Military Honors provided by the Logan County Honor Guard.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.
