Passed away Tuesday evening, April 15, 2003 at her home. Gladys was born October 17, 1904 in Lawton, MI the daughter of William and Sophronia (Secord) Castner. She was a member of the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Paw Paw, the Paw Paw Coterie Club and she loved her home and gardening. On October 15, 1921 in Lawton, Gladys was united in marriage to Max Chamberlin who preceded her in death on April 20, 1955. A sister, Nellie Kimble, 2 brothers, Dewey and Orville Castner and a niece, Frances, also preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Chamberlin of Paw Paw; sister-in-law: Dorothy (Jose) Chamberlin Songco of South Holland, IL; nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at the new location of the ADAMS Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2003, 1 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal; Church, Paw Paw. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Church Construction Fund.
