Passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 23, 2003 at this home. Carl was born June 30, 1942 in Vicksburg, Michigan the son of the late Harold E. and Marcia (Raymond) Berry. He was employed as a supervisor by Lear Mfg. Company in Marshall retiring in March of 2001. He love jigsaw puzzles and riding motorcycles and made many trips to Baldwin for the annually “blessing of the bikes”. On January 12, 1964 in Kalamazoo, MI Carl was united in marriage to the former Maryann Owsiany who survives. Also surviving are son, Raymond (Tammy) Berry of Mattawan; daughter, Robin (Chris) Ponicki of Paw Paw; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Berry and Shelby and Paige Ponicki; 3 sisters, LaDonna (Don) Hoke of Baldwin, MI, Earlyn Fuller and companion Tom Lee of Kalamazoo and Peggy (Ken) Karkoskie of Bradenton, Florida; brother, Jimmy Teskie of Jackson, MI; many nieces and nephews. 5 brothers and 3 sisters preceded Carl in death. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2003, 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Burnett of 12th Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
