Passed away Friday, April 4, 2003 at home. Lois was born September 6, 1948 in Daggett the daughter of Homer and Mildred (Palmer) Corey. Lois was a 1966 graduate of Stephenson High School and the Bronson School of nursing in 1968. She was employed for LakeView Community Hospital as a supervisor in the Emergency and Obstetrics Departments, retiring in 1993. On July 5, 1969 in Stephenson Lois was united in marriage to Henry C. Porras who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Corina (Daniel) Castillo and Elizabeth (Brad) Gleson; grandson, Connor J. Gleson all of Decatur; 4 sisters, Judith (Robert Cappiello of Ovid, Melody Sue Corey of Falls Church, VA, June (Jerry) Troyer of Flint, Janice (Doyle) Arnett of Battle Creek; mother, Mildred Corey of Battle Creek. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice. Services were held Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Paw Paw united Methodist Church. Arrangements by the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
