Passed away Saturday evening, January 4, 2003 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Lucille was born December 12, 1908 in Ramljane, Croatia the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Plesha) Ladisic coming from Europe at the age of five settling in Chicago, IL. She moved to Decatur, MI in 1927 with her parents. On April 28, 1928 in Paw Paw, Lucille was united in marriage to Robert Oreskovich, and together they worked the family farm, growing and distilling mint for oil and raising other crops. She loved the farm and her gardening. She was a bookbinder for Dou-Tang Products, Paw Paw until her retirement in March of 1972. As a very friendly, loving lady, her many interests included being with her family, sewing, crocheting, helping others and playing bingo and cards. She moved to Paw Paw in October of 1984 where she was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Paw Paw, St. Mary’s Altar Society and Paw Paw Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Oreskovich on January 14, 1975 and a daughter, Betty L. Gray; grandson, Stephen Felcyn; 3 sisters, Mildred Haynes, Catherine Kountz, and Mary Novosel; and a brother in infancy. Surviving are a son, Joseph P. (Peggy) Oreskovich of Paw Paw; 3 daughters, Ann Marie (Ted) Felcyn of Paw Paw, Roberta Jean (Marvin) Ives of Marcellus, and Eileen (Douglas) Simmons of Grand Rapids, MI; son-in-law, Harry Gray of Kalamazoo; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grand-daughters; sister, Ann (Matt) Kral of Calumet City, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday,Jan. 8, 2003, 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan Celebrant. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Paw Paw.
