Passed away Sunday morning, March 23, 2003 at Allegan General Hospital. Barb was born May 14, 1939 in Gobles, MI the daughter of late Ronald and Eleanor (Wagner) Jacobs. She was employed by General Motors retiring in 1993 and then for the Paw Paw Public Schools Lunch Program. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Paw Paw and the UAW Local # 488 in Kalamazoo. Barbara loved bowling, flowers and gardening. On July 16, 1957 in Lawrence, Barb was united in marriage to Leslie J. Utter who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Peggy Louise Scarborough of Escondido, CA, Lori Ann (Stanley) Wills of Lawrence and Lynn Marie (Jay) Kowalkowski of Lawton; son Leslie David Utter of Paw Paw; 15 grandchildren; brother, Larry (Pam) Jacobs of Bristol, IN; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Tuesday 10 to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2003, 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw with Rev. C. William Weis officiating. Interment will be in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
