Passed away suddenly, Monday, April 7, 2003. Philip was born June 15, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Maurice and Marie (Thomas) Colombel. On August 30, 1968 in Hammond, IN Philip was united in marriage to Glena Mae (McCurdy) Link who preceded Phil in death on March 20, 2003. He is survived by 3 daughters, Lorrie L. Burhans of Cornell, MI, Susan L. Barnard of Elkhart, IN and Nancy L. Clark of Ennis, TX.; 5 sons, Philip M. Colombel, Jr. of Paw Paw, Stephen Colombel and Mark Colombel both of Los Angeles, CA, Christopher Colombel and Maurice Colombel both of Fredericksburg, VA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Philip and Glena owned and operated Double M. trucking and LesService de Colombel, Inc. Trucking until their retirement in 1992.
Family will receive friends Saturday, May 10, 2003, 10 to 11 a.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw. A memorial service for both Phil and Glena will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Diabetes Association.
