Passed away Sunday, May 18, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Knoxville, TN. Anne was born January 10, 1924 in Mattawan, MI the daughter of Anton (Godis) Godisak and Johanna (Mencel) Godisak. She was a 1941 graduate of Mattawan High School, member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw and Holy Family Catholic Church, Seymour, TN. In 1941 Anne was united in marriage to Pete Griffith who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ana, Katherine, Teresa and Helen; brothers, Samuel, Anthony, John and Andrew. Surviving are two daughters, Carol (Robert) Vuillemenot of Massachusetts and Claudia (David) Burton of Tennessee; son Fred (Linda) Griffith of Paw Paw, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Wydick and Josephine McEnterfer, both of Paw Paw; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the new location of the ADAMS Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School. |

I'm so sorry for your loss. Fred and I worked together for many years at NWL and I've never forgotten his kindness over the years towards my parents who have both passed now. That little orange 67 camaro is in my mind often. Fred, may god's blessings be on your family at this time of loss
