Dale C. Whittington Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1929 - 2003 AGE: 74 WHITTINGTON, Dale C. 33rd Street Paw Paw Passed away Friday morning, July 4, 2003 at his home. Dale was born February 22, 1929 in Lawrence, MI the son of the late Carrol and Nita (Johnson) Whittington. He was a graduate of Paw Paw High School and then Western Michigan University in 1957 with a degree in Management, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Dale was employed as a fruit purchaser for Knouse Foods, Paw Paw until his retirement in 1995. He loved fishing and all sports, especially the sports his grandchildren participated in. Dale a member of the Presbyterian Church, Paw Paw. On August 17, 1957 in Paw Paw Dale was united in marriage to the former Jo Ann Rix who preceded him in death on May 18, 2001. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Drake. Surviving are 3 children, Kelly Ann (Richard) Louwaert of Gobles, Dale Scott (Kelli) Whittington of Paw Paw and Jayne Ampey of Paw Paw; eight grandchildren, Andrew, Dustin and Michael Louwaert, Spencer, Shayne and Erika Whittington, Jennifer and Amanda Jo Ampey, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Paw Paw. Inurnment of Cremains will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church, Paw Paw.

I am so sorry to hear this. Please pass on my condolences to everyone. We have e-mailed Keith and Kyle to let them know. I hope everyone else is do well. It has been a long time since I've seen anyone from "33rd St". I can not believe we have lost 2 members in the same week. Please pass on my condolences. Kim Caldwell
