I would like to say that I will cherish the last time that I got to spend with Chris. It was the funnest time I've had since I've been back from Iraq. I know for a fact that he and Mariko had a lot of fun as well. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers and also my pryers go out to him family and friends. I've had the pleasure of knowing him and the best thing was that he always made me laugh. Thats all anyone needs in life is the ability to make someone else happy and thats exactly what Chris was best at. He is a guardian angel now and not to mention a hero in heaven and to us. I am looking forward to one day seeing him again in heaven. God Bless everyone. Semper Fi

I was so saddened to hear of Chris' passing. I went to elementary and middle school with Chris, at North Christian School. Though he and I hadn't been in touch since we were children, I kept tabs on him occasionally through other friends, and still have great memories of the wonderful person Chris was. He had so much vibrance, energy, and compassion. Chris was always the first to stand up for the underdog, to soothe tension with a joke or prank, and to brighten everyone's day with his great smile. Even as a kid he was a strong, compassionate, positive person, and I wish I had known more of the person Chris became. Now I'll see him again in a better place, as we all will. Please pardon me if I am too forward in offering my sincerest sympathies, and assurances of prayer during your grief.

I attended high school with Chris and he will be missed and always remembered. We shared many memories together and his smile and enthusiasm for people, life, and adventure was impossible to not recognize and appreciate. Those characteristics of Chris will remain with me as I'm sure they will for all who knew him. I have not had much contact with Chris the past few years, but I cannot express how proud I am of him for his military commitment and deep relationship with the Lord. With love, Matt Parker

Dear Willis family, I can not imagine the grief that must overcome you at the moment. As the mother of 3 sons and one daughter, your loss is especially dear to me. Although I never met Chris, I have met Shaun, and I know Frank from the Probate Judges Association. As a Catholic, I know that in time, you will feel the comfort of the Lord and His Blessed Mother and that Chris will be standing with them sending his love too. God Bless all of you during this very sad sad time, and know that even though Chris had a very short life, it was filled with your love and the love that he must have felt for his God. We can't ask much more of life after that. Pat Conlon

Whenever I think of Chris I will always smile. It seems like just yesterday Chris and my younger brother Ryan were riding in the back of my car or hanging out at our house their freshman year in high school. No matter how hard I tried to be annoyed with them - they always made me laugh. Chris truly had a special charm and love for life that will never be forgotten. My prayers are with you.

I remember spending the night at my Aunt Nancy's and looking forward to going down to the Willis's to play pig and lightning (basketball) with the boys. And I could always count on Chris being up for a game. He was always so full of energy and happy. Memories bring back thoughts of laughter and smiles. I never forgot what a special and caring person he was and never will. My heart goes out to his wonderful family and loved ones. May God be with you all.
