Passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 5, 2003 at LakeView Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Ted was born August 7, 1916 in Chicago, IL the son of Alois J. and Esther (Lietz) Schuster. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S Coast Guard. He was employed at Duo-Tang Products in Paw Paw retiring in 1978. Ted loved gardening, shooting pool, playing golf and after serving in the coast guard had a passion for light houses and boats. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw and the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post #68, Paw Paw. On October 8, 1977 in Paw Paw, Ted was united in marriage to the former T. Ruth Piffer Masten who survives. Also surviving g are 2 step-daughters, Joyce (Henry) Gilman and Gail (Ed) Uminn both of Kalamazoo; 2 step-sons, Jerry L. Masten of Hollywood, FL and Dale (Candy) Masten of Lawton; 8 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw with Rev. C. William Weis and Rev. Mark Whittaker officiating. Interment in Almena Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw. Arrangements by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
