Passed away Saturday Morning, August 9, 2003 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Alda was born August 25, 1932 in Chicago, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Panazzo) DeRossi. Alda was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw where she was active in the church prayer group. On November 21, 1953 in Chicago, IL Alda was united in marriage to Thomas A. Sipka who preceded her in death on May 8, 1977. Surviving are 4 sons, Thomas (Sherri) Sipka of Ashland, OH, James (Marianne) Sipka of Lawrence, Daniel (Nancy) Sipka of Decatur, Robert (Laurie) Sipka of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Louise Rigoni of Decatur; several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the ADAMS Funeral Home, Paw Paw with a vigil services at 6 p.m. Monday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan, Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
